    Eastfield College Arts Collective presents Anna in the Tropics. Anna in the Tropics is set in Florida in 1929 in a Cuban–American cigar factory, where cigars are still rolled by hand and "lectors" are employed to educate and entertain the workers. The arrival of a new lector is a cause for celebration, but when he begins to read aloud from Anna Karenina, he unwittingly becomes a catalyst in the lives of his avid listeners, for whom Tolstoy, the tropics and the American dream prove a volatile combination.     Becky Foster is caught in middle age, middle management, and a middling marriage with no prospects for change when suddenly she stumbles into a situation that could give her nothing short of a new life. "Becky's New Car" is a thoroughly original comedy with serious overtones that will grab your attention and won't let go until the final scene. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 8 p.m.; Sunday matinees are at 2:30 p.m. Performances are Apr. 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28 at 8:00 PM and Apr. 15, 22, 29 at 2:30 PM.
