This exhibit features artwork that tells our forgotten stories and the myths that have shaped our religions, histories, and languages – making us who we are today. Main Gallery at the Mesquite Arts Center. The gallery is open Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and during performances.

  2. Mesquite Community Theatre presents "The Mystery of Irma Vep - A Penny Dreadful"

    Mesquite Community Theatre presents "The Mystery of Irma Vep - A Penny Dreadful," by Charles Ludlum. This spoof of Gothic melodramas is a quick change marathon in which two actors play all the roles. A sympathetic werewolf, a vampire and an Egyptian princess brought to life when her tomb is opened make this a comedy perfect for the Halloween season.   1. Treasures Barn Sale

    Historic Mesquite's annual fundraising event, the Treasures Barn Sale, features something for everyone! Antiques, clothes, household decor, books, furniture, glassware, toys and more! Donations are now being accepted -- ALL ITEMS ACCEPTED!!! Drop-off times for items are 5 to 7 p.m., Thursdays, Aug. 31, Sept. 7, 14, 21, 28; and 10 a.m. to noon, Saturdays, Sept. 9, 16, 23, 30. Items may also be dropped off during regular business hours by calling the office at 972-216-6468. Check the HMI website (www.historicmesquite.org) for more information or call the HMI office at 972-216-6468. Barn Sale hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

  2. Marketplace Mesquite -- Artisans' and Farmer's Market

    The MarketPlace is a European Style Market with local produce, food, and artisan/craftsman vendors. The MarketPlace is located in Historic Downtown Mesquite in the Downtown Square between Main & Davis every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month starting in April through October, from 9 am - 2 pm.
