Mesquite Community Theatre presents "Always a Bridesmaid," by Jamie Wooten, Jessie Jones and Nicholas Hope. A hilarious comedy by the writing team that created The Red Velvet Cake War, and Dearly Departed, this follows four friends over the span of 30 years who keep their Prom Night promise to “always be in each other’s weddings… no matter what”.

The Mesquite Quilt Guild presents the Mesquite Quilt Show: Cluck, Cluck, Quilt, Quilt, Down on the Farm. The show features demonstrations, mini quilt auction, door prizes, guild store, vendor mall and special exhibits. The 2017 Raffle Quilt is titled "Cluck, Cluck, Quilt, Quilt," pattern by Tricia Cribbs and quilted by Jacqueline Watt. Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 tickets for $5 and the quilt will be awarded at the show on Saturday at 4 p.m. Quilt entry forms can be requested from MQGshowchair2017@yahoo.com. Adults and children alike will be in awe of the amazing LEGO creations on display in this 34,000 sq. ft. area. From massive train, city, & space layouts to unbelievable micro-scale models, from highly detailed works of art to pop culture references, and everything in between, everyone is sure to have a great time. You can look at the displays, meet, and talk with the builders about their creations. There will also be a number of vendors. Because this is a non-profit organization, access to the Public Exhibition is through a paid membership rather than tickets. This membership is good for 1 day or 2 day access to the Brick Fiesta Public Exhibition. The membership expires at the end of the event. Public exhibit hours are Sat., from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sun., from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Entry to the exhibition ends 1 hour before closing. Discount membership pricing ends May 31st.
